Deodorant is booming business. In western countries, people are more than accustomed to prevent themselves against bad odors as a consequence of sweating (heavily).
But that same western market has reached its top and doesn't show much signs of growth.
There are areas/ countries where deodorant is a rising product, like Latin-America, the Middle East and Africa. But when we're talking growth, Latin-America is a rising star and at the moment even the number 1 market for deodorant, worldwide.
That the Latin-American market is that large, hasn't got everything to do with people wanting to protect themselves against sweat, but all the more with the fine line between perfume and deodorant. A lot of people use deodorant for the pleasant fragrance. So that shows once again that every country or area has got its own preferences and demands for a product.
